I believe that life is out there. I do not believe that we have ever been visited by Aliens.
Any intelligence capable of finding us on this little rock, would likely see us in about the same way that we see ant’s.
I find it quite odd that if space aliens have visited earth, and let’s say that they have done so for the sake of argument, then how come they can design and build a incredibly complex spaceship capable of going faster than light without bumping into anything, traverse worm holes, black holes, supernovas, have no bother from cosmic radiation exposure, maintain nutrition supplies for hundreds of light years, decelerate and safely enter our atmosphere, then come to a complete stop a few dozen meters from the ground, but then need to turn on bright freakin lights to see something ten feet away?
I think you are right about your latter assessment but concerning your former: considering how far advanced aliens could be - it would be hard to tell if we were ever visited by them in much the same way ants can not tell when we are “visiting” them & even when we might outright step on them. Could we even detect whether an alien is in our midst.
