How come he actually has the handcuffs? Are they a souvenir of arrest?Per the article, the arresting officer, Sgt. Crowley, gave them to him. Of all the stupid idiotic things to do. Ahhhh, kumbayah and hugs everyone!!! Hope he at least paid the department and taxpayers back for them.

Sgt. Crowley gave the cuffs to Gates in a later meeting after 'beer summit'. Perhaps his symbolic gesture was not meant to be exploited.
