Oh this wasn’t the bad ol days, just ‘01 and I was lucky enough to be a week out from back surgery.....he just assumed that I was on pain meds and said “Ok, one more try, what the f**k do you think you are doing?” He didn’t even yell it. I miss that guy, he did me right before I got my medical discharge. Last I heard he died in Iraq.

Damn shame.

LOL! That reminds me of the class of middle-schoolers I was trying to teach to use the Reader’s Guide to Periodical Literature. The next day when they came to class, I ask what the Reader’s Guide was, and a little guy said it was an index to pair-a-diggles.

The week before Christmas, one of the people I work for called me from her office. She sounded a little frantic - and asked me what day was Christmas. I paused, thinking maybe she was joking, then said “December 25.” She said, “Ok - not Thursday the 24th?” And I said, “No, that's Christmas Eve.” I was completely stunned! She is kind of ditsy but that was beyond stupid!
