Doesn’t seem very fair when the airline is determining the freezing temperature on the plane

The heat for the aircraft comes from the bleed air from the compressor section of the turbines. The use of bleed air for heat to the passenger cabin costs the airlines bucks in a greater fuel burn for the trip.

One pilot on the trip said the plane we were on was having temperature control problems in the cabin. However, the biggie that went international was just plain cold.
