Was even worse on my BlackJack II that I had prior to my iPhone. Something about the code for the page won’t allow rewraping of text. This isn’t an unusual issue - same goes for web sites on small computer screens. Zoom still works - just have to drag the page back and forth as you go across the page.

Also, if you haven’t tried it, turn your iphone sideways and use the browser in landscape mode. Helps some.

Modify your settings on FreeRepublic, it works better than a lot of sites on the Internet.

Jim just needs a style sheet for mobile devices. I have an iPhone and although my eyes aren’t so bad to need glasses to read, they aren’t as young as they used to be.

I just sold my iPod touch and bought an Iphone. FR works great on both for me.

I turn it sideways then expand the paragraphs to fit the screen and read FR way too much (my husband says).

What?! An Apple device fails to automatically deliver a no-brain-stem solution?!

Call Steve Jobs!

(PS: I am not inferring that iTampon users do not have brain stems)

I suppose they could switch to a CSS2 based layout... that would make life easier when browsing from the iphone : -)

I think FR looks pretty good on my 37” 1080p HD TV that I use as one of my monitors! I have no idea as to why your portable doesn't look as good! :-) (Just humor!)
