I am wondering if future generations will regret this like I bet the Chinese do when they look back at the 15th Chinese destroying their great fleets and turned inwards. When a civilization looses its ambition and turns inwards that is usually a sign of the end.

“When a civilization loses its ambition and turns inwards that is usually a sign of the end.”

My thoughts exactly. How much of today’s technology is a direct result of the Apollo program? Imagine if we’d continued our pursuit of space exploration with the same fervor of the 50’s and 60’s.

Imagine what our world be like now if we were ferrying massive amounts of He-3 back to Earth to fuel our fusion reactors.

Imagine spending a couple of weeks at ClubMed Luna - in our spandex...on second thought - maybe it’s good that we gave up on the space program... LOL...

It's worse - NASA dabbles in alchemy and dark arts like global warming - passing up real science... Sad days.
