I currently have a list of over 114 "sources" (job boards, state boards, the many Federal boards, search sites, and companies) that I use regularly.
Truth be told, I've had quite a few "bites"; BUT...
As soon as my age becomes known....the process immediately stops.
That is the real problem.
I've pretty much decided that I'll pick up a menial job (McDonalds) or "WalMart greeter" job after I've exhausted my state unemployment.
Such is life, huh?
No, not really.
Employers fine seasoned citizens very loyal and dependable employees.
I suggest you keep trying.
Here you go...a Wisconsin job site especially for people over 50:
I got that link above from here:
http://www.jobbankusa.com/jobs/wisconsin_wi/job_employment_search.html
The issue is: where are the employers that hire such "seasoned citizens" at the salary levels they've earned through their many years of professional hard work?
This is why I asked for any seniors that have been hired by employers since June of 2007 at or near their last salary.
As to looking...I've been doing that religiously since July of 2009.
Thanks again Cindy...I visit these two sites regularly!

You bet I am. I’ve been trying to find something in the HVAC industry for a few months now. Even with 25 yrs experience, EPA cert. and design skills, it’s pretty hard.
I sure hope something breaks real soon.
You’re welcome and good luck.

Yup.
I’ve got my resumes on quite a few sites, too. HVACAgent, to name just one.

Quite a bit.
Retrofit, new residential, commercial, industrial, spacepac and unico install and design, duct design, water source, light electrical and light plumbing, sheetmetal and fiberglas.
You pick up quite a bit in 25 years.
LOL
