Hi Cindy...

My area of expertise resides in Project Management of Web Applications....

I’m fairly new at project management...recently transitioning from the technical side of application development....

I was, and to some extent, still am an excellent programmer....by as I move along my new path...my technical skills are beginning to degrade.....but....my project managment skills are increasing...

That’s what concerns me the most....I relish being an expert in my field....but I am in transition right now....I have no doubt, if the my course continues, I will be excellent at my new profession...

However, this is not the most opportune time for me to be downsized...in two years I would be in better position...but right now I am not seasoned professional.

Again, I am not sure what is to transpire....but using my intuition....I believe what is coming will likely be dramatic in nature as our company has a new CEO and he is looking to shape the company in the image he sees it going forward into the future.

What I have going for me is that my peers and upper management see me as a top notch contributer....but as I stated previously...that isn’t always enough to see you through to the end....

I would very much like to hear from any male now age 62+ that was thrown out of work after June of 2007 who has found employment at or near their last salary level.

In particular, I'd love to know the resource(s) used to find such a position.

My thanks!
