You could have gotten the same thing by posting to DSLreports, Ars Technica, or any number of websites..that actually see fit to upgrade the site with features (avatars, live feed, etc).
since you got here last July...I think you may have missed the point of Gratitude in my post...and Variety in so MANY areas that FreeRepublic has....
Avatars? Uh, no thanks.
MOST FREEPERS are thrilled with FR more or less the way it is.
It’s clean and simple. We like that.
It’s also easier to maintain that way.
And there’s no arguments with mods about what avatars are acceptable.
