Delphinium, would you care to share with these folks how hard it is to close a primary, even when you live in a very conservative state and when most Republicans in your state want it to happen?

Wow I caught this one. Been away from FR too much, and mostly because I have been working very hard on getting a closed primary in Idaho.

Yes it is difficult because so many years of having democrats and moderate independents voting in our primary has caused RINOS (for lack of a better word) to be in powerful places in our state and in power in our IDGOP.

Good news!! Its worth all the work because we are moving ahead towards victory. About ready to go to court with our overwhelming evidence proving that open primaries and crossover voting has giving those who don't adhere to the principles of our Idaho Republican Party,

Platform http://www.idgop.org/gopplatform.aspx

It has been over 3 years since 82% of our voting members voted to close the primary. We had to throw out the RINO who our governor picked to head the party, making him, the gov) very angry. Which caused him to turn on any elected official who supported us, (the grassroots) Reason we lost our only conservative congressman. Of course voter fraud by ACORN might have been part of the problem, and since all EVIDENCE of thousands of fraudulent absentee votes went unheard by our liberal , RINO) Secretary of State. Those elected officials with the R behind their name would rather send a democrat to Washington to vote for Pelosi than to have a real Republican. REALLY!! And that is what happened. And all this because of our closed primary fight.
