I see from Wikipedia that Jennifer Lopez is sorta-Puerto Rican, so I bow to your superior knowledge. She may have meant it as a deathly insult, but I don’t think it’ll make too many waves here, at least not among the American/Latino community.
And anyway, it’s J-Lo and G-Lo. They’re both a couple of pendejos.
Yeah, she likes to use that Puerto Rican card when it’s to her advantage. The pendeja barely speaks Spanish, and if you ask her what the capital of Puerto Rico is, she might just say New York City. In Puerto Rico, she’s a joke.
I think she said it to be cool ... to show off that she knew at least one Spanish word which would make her part of G-Lo’s world.
