Last I heard carbon did not have a liquid phase, wouldn’t it just go right into gas/vapor?

I don't know about Uranus, but the only gas/vapor mine emits is methane.

Carbon has a bunch of stable forms (including diamonds), at least four of which are known on Earth, and as graphite (at least) it can become liquid.
