In 1837 Ralph Waldo Emerson penned the “Concord Hymn” that described the impact of the battle at Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, on April 19, 1775. The words “the shot heard round the world” are meant to emphasize that a critical event happened at this location that triggered something of global importance.
“By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled; Here once the embattled farmers stood, And fired the shot heard ’round the world.”
This week another shot was heard around the world. Scott Brown and the citizens of Massachusetts let the world know that The People have had enough of the politics of destruction, entitlement, blame and corruption coming from Washington DC.
Scott Brown released this terrific video today of his walk through Boston with Rudy Giuliani.
