Big Mike is getting on my nerves.
His song is "When A Man Loves A Woman." The string quartet returns to the stage. Of course it's good. This song is right in the middle of his wheelhouse. Not much risk here.
Randy: I don't know if it was the perfect song choice, but you know who you are. R&B singer. That's what you do. Loved it.
Ellen: Felt that it was a safe choice. This woman loves that man.
Kara: Technically it was really good. But it was a bit boring and loungey at times. Over indulgent. You know I still love you.
Simon: It's like you wanted one scoop of ice cream and you got eleven. Almost too much. {says he didn't need the string quartet--just someone playing piano would have been enough) This audition could have taken place 30 years ago. Kara's right--you made it kind of loungey.
