Seacrest: Who's the lead singer (of the Rolling Stones)?
Katie: (long pause) Mick ... Jagger ...?
Her song is "Wild Horses". She sings sitting on a stool, under a spotlight. It sounds a lot better than her song last week. This may be too big for her too, but at least she's mostly on key.
Dammit--the trained seals are irritating me. Put your arms down!
Randy: I actually think you sang that really well. Couple of pitchy moments.
Ellen: Started pitchy, but once you got into it you were amazing. Good choice.
Kara: It's never technically perfect with you. But you made nice variations. Better than last week.
Simon: This is the only week where you chose a really strong song. Didn't like the second half of the arrangement. Lost some of the emotion. But it was the first time you connected with a song.
