Alex Lambert

Sings "Trouble" by Ray LaMontagne. It's surprisingly good. Not great, but good.

Randy: Good song choice for you. Not sure you wowed me. Felt a little too fast for me. (audience boos)

Ellen: You're becoming a mushy banana. You're getting better and better and better. We can see how sweet and vulnerable you are. Don't be a cocky banana!

Kara: You are still stiff. You're not letting go up there. We need vulnerability. Be you.

Simon: We've never seen you relax and have a good time. Think of Randy in a bikini (laugh) You know what I mean--stop staring down that lens. I will get Randy in a bikini next week, if you're here.

Tim Urban

Sings Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah". Again, surprisingly good. Better than anything else he's done.

Randy: One of the greatest songs ever. You walked in some pretty big shoes, but I gotta tell ya you did a pretty good job.

Ellen: I have to do this right now. I've been so hard on you. (Ellen jumps up from her seat, runs on stage and hugs him--a bit unprofessional)

Kara: You were about to go home a few weeks ago. (amazed by his improvement)

Simon: I feel responsible--I gave you a confidence boost. Very, very smart to do that song. Not the best version I've ever heard. By far, your strongest performance.
