It annoys me how the judges want Katie to sound “younger”... I’m glad she doesn’t want to be the next Hannah Montana and she wants to do more adult stuff (without being raunchy like Lady Goo-Goo and Rihanna and their ilk) that’ll appeal to a wider audience.

No kidding. When Seacrest asked her who she liked that was under 20, I could hear her want to scream, "Nobody! All those young kids suck and they're not my type!"

P.S. - Yes, I'm biased toward Katie because she's from the next town over, and my wife is a teacher at her high school.
