On the plus side, we didn't have to hear her screech and warble through "Smile" again.

She got the Michael Jackson sympathy vote, just no other explanation for her.

Why can’t Sue Sylvester be a judge on AI??

ROFL! Oh my God, that's perfect!

I can’t wait for the Mullet to close out the show. It’ll be a blubberfest.

LOL!

white haired girl stays (I hope). She slept in her car before AI

I'd forgotten that. I am so disappointed. Lilly is so talented, and has so much more potential than Katie, head and shoulders over Lacey and Paige. Geez.

I wish it was under more talented circumstances.

LOL! That's a beauty!

teens and tweeners...and they couldn’t relate to that song..they tuned her out..heck..if a young Patsy Cline herself had sang it, she’d have been sent home also..

Sad but true. The itunes generation is style over substance. I think that's a strength of AI. Judges stress substance over style, usually.

Her illness is diabetes.

I am not sure she is really “into” the whole voting contest thing. Like maybe she entered AI on a dare or something. It looked like tonight she found these horrid votes and send offs all WRONG. I think she will need a long pep talk from Simon just to stay in the competition. She looked like she wanted to just say See Ya.

Lilly was a serious talent. Even though some people have trouble with him here, so was Todrick. I would have given Todrick another week and sent the little boy kid home. He doesn’t have anything great about him.

Lacey is quirky and so is the super-curly girl, and both deserved to stay one more week. I would have sent Paige and Katie home.

I’m OK with Carol Brady leaving, but he did have a very unique sound to his voice. He just couldn’t lose his nerves... until the swan song, where he seemed more confident.

Thank you. She didn’t but we were lucky to have her around for a couple more years.

I will say, this evening, she appeared to be someone that is in pain....she was guarding when she walked and sat down.

You're right. Sometimes I miss seeing things while typing during the show, but late last night I was watching the recap on the local news and Bowersox did seem like she had more on her mind than just the show.

As much as I love you and this thread...

Aw :-D

I sincerely believe this is the LAST season of AI.

Randy, Seacrest and (I think) Kara all signed new contracts last year, so they're obligated to keep the show going for at least a couple more seasons. How watchable it will be without Simon remains to be seen :-\

But if they replace him with Howard Stern or that Hilton freak, the show will be UNwatchable and I won't even bother hosting the thread. I'm already leaning toward an Xfactor thread for next year anyway.

Lilly looked like she got punched in the gut when the announcement was made.

She sure did.

Hi, Didi :)

And her “I don’t know what America” wants...boy, she was really steamed!

Yeah. She seemed to know something was wrong when Paige (Paige??) got in the Top 12.

I feel a little bad for Katie that they put her in that spot, against someone who had some good talent. She looked just as shocked as everyone else.

I'm a fan of Katie, because as I've mentioned before she's form the next town over and is one of my wife's students in high school, and I think she is good enough to make it another week or two. However Lilly really deserved to go through.

You can tell that there are definitely cliques forming among some of the contestants (the girls at least). Seems to be more or lees a teens vs. twentys kind of divide, but not in all cases.
