I'm on a low-iodine diet for health reasons for several weeks and the title of the piece made me laugh: "Diet without losing the will to live". Sometimes enforced diets are a bear to endure!

Some major points for losing weight from a guy who routinely has to get in shape for football:

-Up your lean protein
-Cut back on carbs and eat as many whole grains as possible
-Eat lots of veggies ( Try recipes such as whole wheat penne pasta with asparagus and tomatoes, citrus salmon, tuna burgers on whole wheat bread)

And exercise everyday...not as hard as it sounds.
