“Lost in Space”

I actually received Lost in Space on DVD as a free DVD when I bought the DVD player. Even as a freebie, I honestly felt that somebody owed me money for the time I wasted watching that movie. That’s an hour and a half that I’ll never get back and could have used for something better, like hitting my head against the wall.

BTW, a close second was “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” I heard that Douglass Adams died shortly after the movie was released. I believe that he died of shame that the movie was associated with his genius.

Yep, Ford Prefect wasn't exactly what I was expecting. But it did have Zooey in it, so at least it wasn't all bad.

Oh, now that's a bad one. Consider this...the point in time they go back to is AFTER Dr. Smith is infected, and then they return to earth. The logical conclusion is that they've taken a force back to earth that will destroy it. Nice going guys, you get home and wipe out the planet.

Adams died just before production finished - hence his face appearing right at the end in tribute. Deeply involved in the script, it was done as he intended. Oops. Only saving notion is that dumbing down the H2G2 series enough for a general-audience US movie was the cause, shifting blame from him to the audience.
