Well that's because the dogs had an edge in the space program:

You do realize that on Orion it's not the girls who are the slaves.

I know when I want to share Earth shattering news, I head to Bolivia. This was one small step for a man, but a large leap for Shirley McLain.

Last year I saw Aldrin on a show about the moon landing. He seemed quite the joker.

UFO “B” LEVEL PING.
Buzz has been quoted off and on. This is a fascinating article given some other details.
There’s a snide insinuation up thread about alcohol or drugs . . . I don’t know about the validity of that.
However, I could understand a person of his experience, training and education being told to keep such an event quiet . . . feeling extremely frustrated and disgusted . . . if not angry and anguished. Often such feelings lead to alcohol abuse.
There are sufficient Apollo astronauts on record now, it’s no longer an issue as to whether such occurred. Only ignorant, clueless, willfully blind folks disbelieve them.
Or perhaps those too terrified and paranoid to face the truth.

Gee. It's too bad he didn't have a camera along to take a picture of this UFO.

I heard such an astronaut speak for more than an hour, too.
He was derisive in his talk and in the Q&A session flat lied about such things. I knew he was lying easily. It was straight scripted BS. And he wasn’t all that sincere about it but gave it a good college try at sounding hostile and derisive about the whole idea.
I was disgusted. Here he is the hero to the kids and lying to their faces.

Ridiculing those who take UFO reports seriously is, well, foolish. Check out The Edwards Incident. I believe the date was October 7, 1965. F-106. Phoenix. “Something happenin’ here....”

Gee. It's too bad he didn't have a camera along to take a picture of this UFO. And if he did take a picture (a camera was available), do you think that particular frame would ever see the light of day?

WRONG.
Much safer to tell a 3rd world journalist who’d not likely be believed.
Word gets out . . . he’s still relatively safe with the powers that be.

Alien 2: “Puh-leeeze. They only made it as far as their moon. Stoopid Hoomans.”
