On the other hand the article suggests this could happen 10 million years from now. Since the average species lives about 5 million years. Who knows what we will have become by then if we don’t off ourselves with nuclear winter or some such before then. I think I will worry about something else for now.
Not contradictory, they were referring to a nova occurring about every 20 years that is now overdue. It is the SUPERnova that they are worried about and predict for 10 million years from now, or sooner?
