The local TV news discovered that when it snows in the local mountains the stores and cafe run out or low on supplies. It happens almost every year, but this year it is news!

Darksheare just called and he's been in an accident. Someone ran a red light and Darks had the green. I asked if he was ok and he said "I don't know. I'm still sitting in the car".

I agree. It’s not supposed to start snowing (or whatever) here until after dark, but the temperature has already dropped 5 degrees since I got up.

The girls have a cooking class at 11:00. While they’re doing that, I’ll get a last batch of survival groceries. We’d starve without onions!

It sounds like it was a kid that ran a red light in Mom’s car with a few friends. It sounded like a caravan, 4 or 5 cars. They missed a semi but one got Darks.

I wish Darksheare luck in getting everything paid for. My accident was four months ago, and we’re still waiting for my knee to stop hurting so we can file the non-economic damages section of the claim. My attorney’s paralegal and I exchange emails every week or so: “Still hurts?” “Yep.”

Getting better though, so maybe we can wrap it up by the end of February.

At this point, they don't even know where their car is. Darks is still sleeping. His wife said he tossed and turned and winced every time.

That happened to us, too! The police report listed the towing company, but we had to track it all over the county after that.

October 1st, I was hit head-on by someone who pulled out of oncoming traffic into my lane. My knee is the last remaining issue, and it probably wouldn't hurt if I weren't so cold! But at least the temp is up to 39 now, and the big storm isn't supposed to hit until this evening.
