I had never seen her before BSG but I was immediately struck by her intensity. She took the role played by Dirk Benedict in the original Battlestar Galactica and made it her own. One of my favorite scenes with her was when she stabbed the Cylon holding her captive to death while she was eating dinner. She went back to the dinner table, wiped a bit of blood still on the knife on her steak and went back to eating. Something like Jack Bauer would have done.
