Season 8 Premiers on SUNDAY NIGHT, January 17 with a TWO hour opening episode at 9 Eastern.
On Monday night we are treated to ANOTHER two hour episode again starting at 9 Eastern.
Hard to tell which way this episode will swing...back to the tough as nails UN-PC style or will we get more handwringing and Islamo-Gaia Love like last year?

This season starts off in NYC with Jack trying to establish a 'normal' life with his daughter. But...some stuff goes down at the UN and "that's when the day starts to go wrong" as Jack puts it...

I hate college, I hate college, I hate college! I was so busy finishing 3 papers last night that I actually turned off the TV, and restricted my internet to journal searches. So, I didn’t see this thread. I FORGOT JACK!! Dang! Hope it’s online.(don’t tell Jack...or Renee)
Because the actress who plays her also played "Starbuck" on the (new but now over) Battlestar Gallactica on SciFi. She was a fierce fighter pilot who could drink most men under the table. In the end, turns out she might have been an angel.
Coming up next week, I'll tell you why I insist that Freckles/aka Renee, be called "Boots".

I'm guessing elapsed time since Jack was on his death bed is about 18 months.
