Even in the federal civil service, the hiring system is being changed to discover your political philosophy and private activities, and your job opportunities will suffer accordingly. I've a brilliant cousin (perfect LSAT score, top law school) who is a small town attorney and has been denied promotions and honors by the local bar because he is a Boy Scout leader. He refuses to give up Boy Scouts and is resigned to living life with his own values, in a struggling one man practice.
I suggest you take some courses in agriculture and home health care/nursing while you are still young. and learn a trade you can do with your hands.
Does this bill require small businesses to give their employees insurance? If so, we’re in a world of hurt.
re: what will happen
After the Senate bill happens, the House and Senate versions will have to be reconciled. At that point the “what happens if this becomes law” discussions will take center stage and I think citizens will not like what they hear.
If the newly announced Nebraska provision, which provides that only Nebraska will get Federal funding for Medicaid patients, stays in the final bill, certainly that will cause an uproar.
There will be uproars galore.
The worst fear of those that vote for the bill should be that it becomes law.
A LOT of people won’t pay the mandatory fees. This requires either mass imprisonment, or a breakdown of order.

And it’s all happening again right HERE.
With nowhere else for the FREE to run to this time around..!!!

Yeah, I think Barry will dictate that the US be unilaterally (”voluntarily”) entered into a vast carbon control “Cap’n Tax” scheme that had been planned as part of a global system.
The EPA will run the show. Perhaps with a new Czar.
Too much big money is ready to jump in and enrich itself in carbon trading, to be denied just because Barry wasn’t able to deliver a binding global treaty.
Most of the supporters of ‘universal’ health care don’t yet realize that that is NOT what is being passed. (Heck, most of those opposed don’t know that either.)
When they find that out, and when they find out how much it will cost THEM, and when they find out that no more people will be ‘covered’ than before (assuming you count what is being proposed as ‘coverage’, which it is not) ... you’re going to have a lot of very angry people.
What is uncertain is whether they’ll continue on apologizing for this seriously deranged Congress ... or if they will actually do something about it.
They whine and complain about Tea Partiers, but really they are jealous because they are too lazy to create a popular movement to demand what they want (universal ‘free’ health care).
Like everthing else, they expect this legislation to be just given to them, without having to actually work for it. Either that or they realize what a farce it is but are willing to settle for for saving face by “writing and emailing” in support ... just to say they did something.
I think you’re right about that.
People should seriously be laying in stores and learning to garden.
A one-man practice is exactly what I’m looking for. There’s also demand for advocacy on behalf of Christian and Constitutional values - right down my alley. BTW, this is a second field in my career so making money is not a priority - doing something meaningful is.
Ditto
New Zealand is vigorously recruiting immigrants right now ... as long as they have skills. Doctors would be the first let in the gate.
of course, buying private insurance will be almost impossible because premiums will rise
a lot of the new federal mandates on insurers are NOT insurance against future events, but wealth transfer and welfare to cover what has already occurred- ie, that preexisting conditions MUST be covered.
ie, I the ininsured or under insured get breast cancer,
THEN go to an insurer and demand that insurer pay for my treatments, as the gubmint requires.
Or Mom gets alzheimers, THEN we buy “insurance” that MUST pay for her care.
Those with insurance- Imagine what our premiums are going to do. We really need to rename the “insurance” industry, because wordspeak is in play here.
Small businesses that cannot afford the private premiums - those employees MUST be signed up for the Govt plan
This is the takeover of middle class America
LOL! As long as making money is not your goal, you’ll do fine
I think my cousin worries more about making enough to pay his secretary’s salary, than his own
One thing that will make a difference is that the taxation will start immediately, but none of the benefits(sic) will start for four years. People will see less money in their paychecks then wonder why they aren’t getting their Obama Medicine.
By whom? How? When? The truth is that, no. It will not be overturned. That's the first straw we need to stop grasping -- no Republicans, no Supreme Court, no anybody is going to rescue us from this travesty. That's why it was so damn critical that this NOT get to where it's gotten, because once it's done, it's DONE for good. This will NOT be reversed. And I mean that even if Republicans (pttewh) regain control. They will not turn this back.
What will happen? Our goose will be cooked by the turkey in the White House and those sh-t eating cockroaches in Congress.
That’s what I’m saying. The ill-informed moronic Obama worshipers will be the first in line at ERs the day after the bill is signed, not knowing they can’t ‘cash in’ for years.
And healthy kids can be taken off health care insurance.
