I mean, we’ve had two consecutive summers with about three weeks worth of hot days and even on those days it took four or five hours to get hot and it didn’t stay hot, and that’s just totally unlike the last 100 year’s worth of weather, at least in the mid Atlantic area.
I agree that the summers have been relatively not hot in recent years, however, winters have also been a lot milder. I remember a number of 0 to 10 degree days in the 60s and 70s. Now if it hits the teens that is cause for alarm. Also the first freeze has been happening much later, and Halloweens used to require coats, now you can usually wear something more revealing. We have had roses and tomatoes up into the first week of December when it finally went below freezing for one night. Much later than in decades past.
