My wife was listening to Glenn Beck’s radio program, this morning. She informs me that Glenn Beck says that the White House called his “red phone” yesterday at the end of his FOX News TV show.
Evidently, the White House was upset that Glenn Beck interviewed Michael Goldfarb, author of the Offutt AFB closure threat report. In the interview, Goldfarb stood by his report. Glenn Beck, prefacing the story as a rumor, also stated that he confirmed this story with three sources. But, the White House vociferously denies the story.
I’m not saying he’s a “liar”, per se. He’s a showman. I don’t blame a showman for being a showman. Someone else on this thread asked me if I realize what Beck does, and they had a point, but all the same, please don’t pee down my back and tell me it’s raining.
Several months ago I heard a democrat of dark skin call the White House “the House of White.” (I had been wondering when something similar was going to happen.) I never heard it repeated, but I nearly lost it I was laughing so hard. Did anyone else hear it?

It is your OPINION that the White House didn't call him, but your opinion is not one iota more convincing than Gore's opinion on global warming.
You present it as fact, without any evidence. If this were a court room maybe you could claim to be an expert witness and your opinion would have some weight to it, but that is not the case. You spouted off about Beck based on zero evidence.
My question is: Why should I believe you over Glenn Beck?

No, Beck isn’t Rush, that many married womanizer. Beck is a loving father and loving husband. He doesn’t insult women like Rush does.

I’ve grilled my wife about what exactly Glenn Beck said on his radio program this morning, and she says, to the best of her recollection, Glenn Beck said that at the end of his television show, he had received a call from the White House about the Offutt rumor. Also, that he would discuss it on his show tonight. My wife doesn’t recall if he said it was the “red phone” or a “crackberry” or what. I guess we will all find out tonight.

You can listen to anyone you want, of course, but you should just know when something is real and when you’re being jived. There was no phone call, there was no “White House” communication. If watching/listening to Beck is helping affirm a view that you have personally researched and come to, good deal. If you’re GETTING information or beliefs from Beck, that’s a problem, a problem every bit as bad as people who get information and “facts” from Michael Moore.

What about the "communications" to reporters, newspapers, and Rep. Conyers? When said entities and persons cross Obama?

I don't need to furnish any factual info, I'm not the one who's making the claim. Beck is. If Beck got a call from "the White House" I want a name, I want corroboration from the person that made the call or I want a phone record. What is going on on this site? Do you people think that just because someone shares your political philosophy (which you don't really know that Beck does), you can trust them?

I’m giving the benefit of the doubt to Beck — the White House has repeately shown that it is unworthy of said benefit. (Except to O’Reilly. He’ll continue to pander to Obama up until they shut off his microphone and haul him away).
Beck has been good so far, except for his idea of adding a VAT tax to pay down the deficit (when he was on O’Reilly)- he really lost me there - how could he even suggest any kind of tax with this group in Congress and the White House
