Tonight's NCIS and NCIS LA.
NCIS and NCIS LA | 12/15/09 | Me

Both of the new NCIS episodes tonight featured Muslim Marines victimized by bigoted Christian Marines (or ex-Marines). Is it mere coincidence these two plot-lines come 5-6 weeks after Ft. Hood? I can't help but wonder what an average TV drama's time-span is between the script begin written and the airing date.

>I did not watch it but is that the series with Gary Sinese. He is always visiting the troops in Iraq. The only CSI I watch is CSI Miami.

No, that’s CSI NEW YORK with Gary Sinise on Wednesdays. I download the episode by bittorrent then watch it anytime I want.

FYI, The producers of CSI NY 2 years ago had Rush Limbaugh visit their set.

Yes. The episode tonight was very wrong. I just don’t have the words to express it deeply enough.

I ended turning to another channel midway between the show. It’s a shame. I used to love NCIS. Not anymore.

Bellisario is usually more in touch with reality.
I also was not aware of a change in writers. Does anyone have more info on this?

Perhaps my tolerance was clouded by the fact that NCIS is (was?) my favorite current series.

I saw the Islam-good-Christians-bad thread through the episode, but thought it was not heavy-handed; obviously I was wrong.

Whatever were they thinking?

I lost all respect for NCIS tonight.

I did, too. This season has taken a noticable left turn--Rush Limbaugh bashing, white men with guns bashing. Now, glorification of Islam in a "Holiday" episode.

At first I thought this might be a simple ecumenical statement, but the one sided treatment in light of Ft. Hood, 9/11, honor killings, infidel killings and numerous other assaults by Islam's true believers leaves me speechless. The holiday the left dare not speak its name is awarded this badly written and utterly preposterous plot. Enough. I'm done with the NCIS franchise.

Ya, NCIS used to be my favorite TV program.

This year ... not so much.

After last night ... not at all.

Besides being PC apologists for Islam last night, their scripts this season have been down right hokey.

Thanks for the link. The worst that can happen is that my 2 cents worth will be ignored.

Thank you. My daughter-in-law and I were discussing this show. It’s like NCIS has Alzheimer’s - same dear faces, but the original people behind the faces have vanished. The loss of Donald P. Bellisario is being keenly felt.

This season has been jarring. First they de-Israelied Ziva, then they started taking swipes at prominent conservatives and then conservatives in general. The Dec. 15th show has cured me of being an NCIS fan. The heavy-handed message of the show was: Muslims good, Christians bad. And the sorry side story of Jethro’s father was poorly written.
