Hillary's Choice in Spain
Former Fetus

Posted on 12/15/2009 11:25:54 AM PST by Former Fetus

Saharaui activist Aminetu Haidar is in the 28th day of a hunger strike in the airport of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands (Spain). She is protesting Morocco's decission to take away her passport and put her on a plane to Lanzarote because she wrote "saharaui" instead of "moroccan" under nationality in her immigration entry form.

That was a sad story, until Hillary got involved. She visited Spain a couple of days ago and try to convince the Spanish government to "force feed" Ms. Haidar. I thought Hillary considered herself a feminist, how can she suggest to force a woman to do anything against her will? And she claims to be pro-choice, why doesn't she respect Ms. Haidar's choice of starving herself even to death? Of course I did not expect Hillary to be consistent with her beliefs, but...

I am not sure how FREEPERS are going to direct their comments on this one. They definitely might agree with Hillary and the force feeding since they supported the government force feeding that gal down in Florida a few years ago. This is a tough one. I am not sure which way I think or maybe I just don’t care...Yieks probably not a Christian thing to say.

Can’t think of anymore to say about this woman.

Well no one has to force feed Hitlery. She’s been slopping at the gubmint trough for most of her repulsive life alogside her boar.

This is just typical of our present administration. They continue making poor (stupid?) decisions concerning international affairs. Hillary is dumb as rocks. I’m almost glad Obama beat her, though I’d still prefer an American as our president.

Why is our government taking any position at all on a dustup (as far as I can tell) between Spain, Morocco, and the would-be state of Western Sahara?

While she's in Spain, she should ask to see the lovely new Spanish submarines with glass bottoms. That's so the new Spanish navy can see the old Spanish navy.

According to something posted here a few days ago, anyway.

Morrocco is considered a “moderate” and friendly Arab state (is that an oxymoron?), so in the grand-chess game of int’l politics, the USA doesn’t want anything upsetting their Govt. And like it or not, everyone still wants the USA’s opinion, because we still are the world’s only superpower.

From what I have seen so far, Clinton has issued some banalities about the case, but is trying to remain distant from it. I don’t think she is so stupid to get involved in such a high-risk, low-reward case over 1 Morroccan activist.

Clinton [...] is trying to remain distant from it

That's not what is being reported in the Spanish newspapers. They claim that Hillary is putting pressure on the Spanish government to force-feed the woman. If that's so, and I agree it is only a big IF, I think it is hilarious to see a self-avowed feminist wanting another woman to be forced to do something against her will. As for the pro-choice, we all know that they don't believe in real choice, but I did think that Hillary was 100% pro-death, so why try to stop that poor woman from dying?

Maybe because our President has a knack for picking losers: Chicago for the Olympics, Florida in the SEC Championship...
