This sounds exactly like an apparent scam that just blew up called “SureSights” — http://www.suresight.com/
A lot of people got burned in pre-orders for this on the glocktalk boards (http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=904849)
This would be really cool if someone bought the patent and is making the sights.
And by apparent scam, I mean that a lot of people appear to have ordered this but never received the sights or a refund.
I think you might be right..that’s why I asked for multiple samples to test...mounted on all kinds of weapons (don’t forget the ammo!)
Kind of the same idea, but more low profile?
What’s the scam? Took a look at the website and the SureSight seems like a pretty good idea, actually. If the trit version glows like it does in the picture, struck me as pretty innovative.
What struck me as odd is that they’re claiming the sight has to be compatible with a specific model of gun. You don’t cut into the slide to install? Or, are they advertising something that just doesn’t exist (hence, the massive order backlog)?
