Tiger Talks Chevron World Challenge
Tiger Woods ^ | 12/06/2009 | Tiger Woods

As the final round of the Chevron World Challenge begins, I would like to extend my heartfelt thank you to everyone affiliated with the event, especially our amazing title sponsor, Chevron. They've been title sponsor for the last two years and have a vision and passion for creating real opportunities for my Foundation. I thank them for their ongoing commitment.

I'd also like to thank all of our supporting sponsors and my tireless, dedicated staff, board and volunteers who collectively produce this first-class golf tournament. I am so grateful to them for their efforts, and I am sincerely sorry I was unable to fulfill my duties as host and player in this important event.

There are also 18 outstanding pros in the field, and I thank them for providing us all with some excellent competition this week.

Lastly, I'd like to thank our fans for continuing to support us. Like them, I am extremely dedicated to this tournament, to my Foundation and the millions of young lives we serve. Thank you all for your support.

— Tiger Woods

It IS pathetic. Next we will hear a plea from Woods for our understanding as he, a sniveling now-repentent “sex addict,” (LOL) undergoes counseling for his misdeeds.

All is to be forgiven — we must move along — and anxiously await ‘the one’s’ return to the PGA tour.

Uh, wait................Methinks: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Tiger Woods = Bill Clinton of Golf. His whole image was just a marketing ploy. The guy is a philanderer who will stick his putter into any available hole. Yes, he’s is most likely the greatest golfer to ever live but he has no character or values. HE’s a made up marketing persona to sell goods. I wouldn’t be surprised if his wife knew and was asked to marry him to help him complete his fake wholesome image. Like they say, the cover up is worse than the crime. Tiger thought he could get away with saying it’s all lies. The liar is Tiger. And can’t wait till it comes out he used HGH to help himself get bigger. He’s as fake as they come.

Sounds like the "let's move on" statement. I wonder if he will be the same golfer after this.

He was a cinch to beat most of Nicklaus's records....but I remember telling a friend Ken Griffey Jr. has "a long way to go", when he was a cinch to beat Hank Aaron, and he told me I was full of it. Too many things can happen along the way. Physical injury, burnout, scandal.....Jimmy Foxx was gonna reach Ruth, so was Duke Snyder. Tony Mandarich was the greatest lineman since sliced bread. Total bust. Mark McGwire. Barry Bonds. Blah, blah.

Another “one”, let’s see there was O.J., Michael Jackson, Michael Vick, and Mike Tyson...just for starters. I am not going to mention what they all have in common except to say it is indeed pathetic. Doesn’t seem to matter whether they are athletes or musicians, it always ends badly.

I have to believe that if TW’s father was still alive that old Green Beret would probably kick his ass.

The guy couldn’t even make an appearance to hand the trophy/whatever to the winner???? That is just adding to the douche-baggery smell of this whole past week.

The one thing I liked about Tiger (don’t care about golf) was how well he was managing all the various demands he gets and how professionally he conducted himself as a business person at that age. Of course, I’m absolutely 100% against cheating on your wife with club-skanks, too.

Agreed, unless Elin takes Tiger's $18 million offer for 7 more years of marriage. Doing so, makes her no better than the 'hotties' Tiger was playing with!

If I were advising Elin, I'd press for the $18 million NOW, the house in Windemere, the yacht (Privacy) and kick the sorry SOB out the door NOW!

She should go for $100 million plus alimony, houses, etc. If not then write a tell all book about everything. His sleazy sponsors will pony up the dough.

One problem - the children. It is Florida and a crazy judge just might give him the children. I recall a case long ago where a Florida judge gave a woman's children to her "husband," who was really a woman but had a "sex change," even though the children wanted to stay with the mother.

Then there were the flaunting of the law by Judge Greer in the Terri Schiavo case. Just now I am reading about another crazy judge, U.S. District Judge Robert Payne in the case involving horrible threats made by Phuong Nguyen Le.

I heard his father was quite the philanderer too. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Just sayin'.

Managing demands? Like getting paid for appearence fees under a different ruse because the PGA will no allow it. In his case it is a wink and a nod.

Or how he never signs autographs for kids and Mickelson does it for hours. I guess it frees up more time for steroid Tiger boy to chase some tail.

It is horrible - for Tiger’s children and wife, for golf, and for him.

Was discussing this with a friend today who told me she knew a sports writer who told her Arnold Palmer was a womanizer also - but nobody ever knew it - back in the days before the internet it was kept hush hush.

Does anybody know if this is a fact or just somebody trying to equate Tiger’s sins with the great Arnie???

i.e. everybody does it.

Arnie was one of my golf “idols” back when I had sports idols....
