Not too cynical at all. Someone on Larry King’s panel this week suggested that most PGA golfers are cheats what with all the spare time they have on their hands. Larry feigned shock.
I'm sure it happens, and Tiger's not the first big player to get caught - Nick Faldo, Greg Norman and several others have all had their extracurricular activities exposed at one time or another.
But, the PGA Tour also has a very strong Christian community. They have a well-attended Bible study - some meet daily, from what I understand. And, they have Christian Sunday school for the young kids that are traveling with their parents on tour. More than any other professional sport, they are family friendly and family inclusive. I'm sure their rates of infidelity are MUCH lower than with other professional athletes, maybe even lower than the general public - FWIW.
