Here on the high desert of AZ (where everyone thinks it is always hot and dry), the temperature dropped to 21 last night, and now it is a ‘warm’ 27, with 14 mph winds.

Tomorrow I am going to get a new tree with lights already on it. I have struggled with strings of lights for years, and this year I am going to treat myself. Take the tree out of the box - insert the top half into the lower half, plug in and VOILA! A tree ready for the antique ornaments and sprigs of holly.

Brrrrr.......!!! Does it snow in your area? It gets cold here too, even though it's "Sunny California", but no snow, except once in maybe seven years or so, we will get a dusting.

Last year we got a beautiful pre-lit tree from Lowe's and it was SO nice not having to deal with tangled up lights. I will be decorating our tree sometime this weekend. I am actually looking forward to it this year!

Thats the kind I have, yorkie, but when you put all the beautiful ornaments on, it truly looks great! I sure enjoy mine!

I bought one of those trees a couple of years ago. I usually buy a wreath from the Christmas Tree lot. It makes the house smell wonderful.

Though this little tree already has lights, we hang the ornaments that my Mom made. They are so pretty. Last year, we hung them high so Cissy (Jr’s cat) couldn’t reach them. Kinda takes away from the tree when you only decorate the top half. LOL (I put old inexpensive ornaments on the bottom half. :^)
