Yet how could Yahweh (Jesus' preincarnate name) be a "god" in the OT before He got his body. Inquiring minds want to know.

"OT," what about the NT.

Mormon theology calls Jesus "Yahweh" in the OT. Mormons refer to God the Father as "Elohiem", consistent with mormon polytheistic beliefs. .Yet according to mormon theology a spirit child (which Jesus was suppose to be prior to obtaining a body) cannot progress to godhood until becoming human and obtaining a body. This is an internal contradiction that mormons refuse to provide a legitimate answer to.
