The real question is, how many Mormon posts precede Romney’s appearance on FR and do they increase after Palin is selected as VP?

Actaully, quite a few. The FR “mormon war” started long before Mitt came on the scene. I’ve been on these threads off and on since I joined.

There was an increase in ‘anti-mormonism’ posts IN THE POLITICAL threads after Romney announced, but no real increase after Palin’s selection.

This isn’t about Mitt, it is about saving souls.

I thought the question was too silly to answer for a guy (OpeEdMunkey) that was being so hostile and refusing to consider anything before his sign up date, but the answer is that the Mormon stuff largely dried up in early 2008 and almost totally died after the Palin selection.

It seems that once Romney was defeated in the primaries that the great majority of Mormons quit posting and lost interest in freerepublic, if it is considered kosher, then I can link to prolific long term posters here that have not posted since early 2008, in other words America’s politics don’t interest them, Mormon politics do.

I don’t know what was going on in religion, because I have barely ever gone over there.

I'm much less ambitious. If we don't save the country from these assclowns in DC we're going to be saying Mass in whatever passes for catacombs in the US.

As the pro-life trend among the populace continues Roe will slowly be whittled down. I believe it is inevitable—unless we become a more socialist state which will effectively isolate government action from non-violent public opinion. And as long as there is food and football (or bread and circuses) there will be no violent expression of public opinion.

I'm assuming what you meant by souls referred to abortions and not proselytizing. If it's the latter it's really beyond my ambition.

W/r/t the "mormon wars" etc. I hear you, and you sound like you know what I'm asking. But you know what they say about all others bringing data.

Munk
