. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

Is it not written; in MORMON Scripture; that those who do NOT keep the Eternal Covenant found in D&C 132 are DAMNED?

There are some posters on this thread don’t want to hear about silly things like good manners.

There you go again!

You should try reading your own Bible than you won’t make foolish replies!

Using your logic; it is apparent that you do NOT read yours!

How does one insure this without a Divinely inspired authority?

I think I recall a verse that states the Holy Spirit will be the teacher.

If this 'authority' is so good; WHY has the RCC made so many grievious sidetracks in it's history"

... SlicKKK turned into a national park ...

Which messed up a LOT of my WILDRENESS experience!

The rough and rugged places I used to get lost in have been graveled and sanitized and port-a-pottied into Disneyland-like, dis-abled access, watered down, no need to leave the car, rules, Rules, RULES!!!

How long do you think it will be before he asks you again if you think Catholics are Christians?

Let's you and him fight.

The PROPHETS of LDSism need NO training at ALL to speak with AUTHORITY on ANY subject.

Utah is basically in two parts: there is a Northern part which looks sort of like Switzerland, where all but a handfull of the people live, and a Southern part which looks sort of like Mars, and the low sulfur coal deposits are in the part which looks like Mars. SlicKKK's stroke of the pen, law of the land thing which turned those areas into a "park" was motivated by two things i.e. a hatred of Mormons and payoff to his LIPPO buddies who own the only other piece of property like that on the planet and the stunt basically pulled a trillion dollars out of the American economy on a permanent basis. Jerome Zeifman noted that "Utah-gate" which is what many call the thing was one of three things he'd have impeached SlicKKK for, the other being the two flagrant and obvious bribes to Monica Lewinski and Web Hubble.

There is no "green" excuse for Utahgate. The only thing which lives in that area is rattlesnakes and tarantulas.

The wedding clothes represent the Righteousness of Christ, the covering of His blood. Not our actions.

Yes, and not only that, with reference to the parable, it was apparently customary in that culture for the host to provide the wedding garments for guests to wear to the wedding feast. These guests wouldn't have had the proper attire anyway because they were people "off the streets" (v. 10). That's why it was the height of insult and arrogance for that guest to refuse to wear the garment provided to him. Maybe he thought he didn't need to wear it, or that he was exceptional, despite the fact he, like all the other guests, were not even the ones originally invited. No wonder the king was pissed off.

Cordially,

Indeed, and well said.

There is a core truth to Chritaintyone that is shared among many of the denomination, one that allows us to come together and share a common message with others as a family, one that will ultimately bring it all back together when that time comes.

Anything out side of that...

Interesting readings here, by actual former mormons - " What shocked you the most as you learned about the mormon church?"

and so much more mormon truths are fully explained and discussed throughout this site: HERE.

I know these things are hard for many of you that is why many try to marginalized even though His word is Straightforward.

His word IS straightforward and it's sad that you don't care to hear them.

What reason did Clinton have to "hate the mormons"? I sure don't remember any jihad the Clinton white house had going for them. I do agree that it was a payoff to his Indonesian buddies.

For the FACTS on this, Check out this FR post by backhoe. The links in the thread are dead for some reason, but this post is quite informative and please point me to the part where Clinton's hatred of mormons is documented as a reason for the formation of the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.

It sure gets tiresome hearing the same old "mormons presecuted" mantra.

Precisely! Why can’t the literalist geniuses on this site see the issue as clearly as you just did?

Regarding the parable of the poorly dressed wedding guest:

Or maybe the focus of the parable is not that we are “covered” but that the King was angry because Christ provides us the clothing, the blueprint of how we must “look” or act as Christians. The man came to the party and called himself a guest of Christ, but didn’t look or act like he was supposed to.

That refusal to wear the garment, knowing what is required of us and deliberately choosing not to do what Christ asks of us, is sin.

That’s my take on the parable: we are invited, but we must conduct ourselves at the party as the King desires, showing Him honor and being an appropriate guest, or the King will be angry with us. Not showing the host honor and respect, mistreating other guests, causing a disruption at a party, all these things were concepts the listeners could readily understand. I believe this passage IS about our actions toward God and others.
