Thanks for the post M. We all should be reminded of the various steps this greatest of nations under God's good earth has taken to assure the liberty of the individual citizen.
By Divine provenience it came into being. By Divine provenience I think it still has a bit left in it's soul to endure and prevail against tyranny and bad government. Time will be the judge of my heart's exclamation.

The Articles of Confederation, of course, did not create The United States of America.

The EU Lisbon Treaty/Constitution is more like the Articles of Confederation, doomed to failure.
