It's sleek, it's fast, and it's reinforced with a ton of bullet-proof Kevlar armour.
The mean-looking Ady Gil is the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society's newest weapon in their ongoing battle against Japanese whalers.
The trimaran - previously known as Earthrace - recently set the world powerboat record for circumnavigation.

I love their show. It's a wonder they even survive these missions as they are typical idiot liberals with no common sense. Having said that, I respect what they do. The Japanese are exploiting a loophole to kill whales for a delicacy. So unnecessary. Killing Rhinos (the actual animals) for their horns is disgusting as well. Sometimes, liberals actually make a point.

I appreciate the explanation, but it still looks pretty suspect to me.
But then again, I'm an engineer. And a skeptic. And a global warming denier. However, IMHO the jury is still out on whether AlGore is a shrewd con man, or a blithering idiot.

They don’t care about whales. All this is just an angle to ride in a cool boat and have somebody else pay.
To: Psycho_Bunny
I wonder if it’s harpoon proof.
Although with the morons on the Sea Shepherd what it really needs is to be idiot proof.

Mount some Bofurs on the Japanese whalers and rid the world of these pirates once and for all.

I often wonder why the Japanese vessels don’t
run them down, shoot a net over them, etc.
They are interfering with a legal trade and I
would think maritime law would cover this...
These people are pests.
To: faucetman
I agree. There is no one to root for in this one. The Japanese are whaling for commercial purposes and lying through their teeth. The greenies are pirates.
Best case scenario they hit each other and both ships have to go in dry dock.

I'll put my money down on them running their nifty black kevlar boat into a whaler, and blaming the Japanese for the collision and associated damage. The Earthracer requires tremendous amounts of repairs each year, and has failed to find any sponsors willing to pay the huge costs associated with maintaining the hull.
The real losers, of course, will be whatever fool company is underwriting the insurance on it, who is about to write a very big check.

The “sea shepherd” pirates should all be shot or hanged from the nearest yardarm, and their corpses fed to the sharks.

Killing Rhinos (the actual animals) for their horns is disgusting as well. Answer this. Why is it that the only places on the African continent with stable and growing Rhino populations have legal hunting of Rhino?

I largely support them. I do not want the United States to have 1 billion people and it becomes a digusting crowded sh*thole like India, Bangladesh, Brazil, Indonesia or China. I am not for endless sprawl.

I too have watched many episodes of “Whaling Wars” and with the inept-ness of this bunch of liberal do-gooders and the tactics they use, I always wind up rooting for the Japanese.
