The Purple Heart is not awarded to soldiers who have died while not engaged in combat.

My perspective is that these soldiers are engaged in a global war on terror and that where ever they are attacked they are engaged in combat.

This was a surprise attack by an enemy that recognizes no borders when it come to Jihad.

Every one of them deserve the same recognition the all wounded and killed American Warriors receive.

Chances are, you are probably a vet, so I don't understand your stance in this instance.

I understand what you are getting at,though during Nam alot of soldiers were killed in other Theaters. And those folks got nothing, except an early trip back.

These soldiers at Hood were just like those soldiers.Understand that I’m not being cold-hearted.
This was murder, that’s the way I see it.That attack in Kuwait on our soldiers by that Buck Sargent was in fact an attack on our folks by the enemy.I don’t know if anyone recieved a Purple Heart, they should have if not. They were deployed in a combat zone.Again I’m not being cold, just,,,

All this PC is senseless to me.I’s getting our people killed.

At the same time I understand what you’re saying.
