I have to wonder what is the point of passing out candy to children after an atrocity? My guess is that it’s conditioning. Children are easily influenced, and frankly I think the devil knows this. God and evolution gave children the ability to learn from their parents almost hypnotically. The devil and evil in general takes advantage of that.
Apparently in the Arab Muslim world, distributing candy to strangers is an invitation to celebrate.
