Is there any “international humanitarian law and international human rights law”?
If so, it is rather unevenly applied. One need not look further than Israel for an example of how the UN considers the matter.
But when you have an international thugocracy, and they rule by majority vote, not hard to see why this interpretation is the one that is used.

I imagine the same UN dweeb sees Palestinians blindly shooting rockets into Israeli civilian neighborhoods as no big deal.
OK lets just carpet bomb the entire area or drop a few nukes.
It seems to be ok to kill indiscriminately but if you can target those you want to kill that is bad.

It’s time to get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.
It is back to their inaliable rights as muslims to kill christians, jews , innocents and pro-democracy western countries. The UN relates to this as if you look at the membership you will see that the majority are muslim.
With the G7 fcreating it and funding it , I find it ridiculous that they can challenge the funders democracy and right to defend themselves.

When will we elect people who are smart enough to know we shouldn’t be funding this haven for terrorist loving pedophiles? It is a cesspool stinking up American soil in New York City.
Essentially, international law is useless. International law is what the country with the most might says it is. The UN can warn all they want. We are not subject to their warnings.
So with this logic, that in a war which we did not start that now we are not allowed to shoot back, here are some other examples of the slippery slope the UN is setting up:
We will not be allowed to step on cockroaches in our pantries with remote controlled traps or use electric toothbrushes kill the bacteria on our teeth, because these organisms do not have electronic gadgets to fight back.
We will not be allowed let our police carry guns when chasing gang members who only carry knives ,or chase bank robbers in any car that goes faster than their get away cars .
We will not be allowed to stop viruses by immunize against them because that is unfair to the virus, we should give the viruses a fair chance.
We shall not put locks on our doors unless the thieves are given keys, but if not we are to put up big signs out front of our houses when we leave to let thieves know we are not at home and it is safe to come in.
We shall not complain that these new laws of fairness are not explained ahead of time, or that the UN officials can make them up on the fly, and we shall give most of what we earn to them in taxes, so that the UN can do their job to level the playing field, and if we do complain we shall forfeit all our property and our first born .... oh joy
When is this festering boil called the UN going to lanced of the body of this country and sent floating down the East River?
