“Taken” with Liam Neeson
“Taken” was good, but I had niggling doubts afterwards when realizing (A) most of it happened only because he _happened_ to be at the right place at the right few seconds by sheer dumb luck, and (B) very little is transferrable as a “how-to guide” (hey, if you’re daddy to a little girl you’ll understand). Those qualms aside, it was good.
Haven't read to the bottom of this thread yet, but at this point I'll "third" that suggestion. One of my favorites from the past year or so (perhaps someone will also mention the Jason Bourne trilogy?). Shades of "Frantic", you know, the also Paris-themed movie starring that guy that sort of looks like Indiana Jones, and directed by that guy that sort of looks like that child rapist everyone's been talking about recently. (Sorry, good movie all the same...in an 80's kind of way (need I say 'Grace Jones'!?))
