Goat's milk has a higher carb content than cow's milk -- but it also has a somewhat unusual taste that takes some getting used to . . .

My daughter as a young girl read Heidi and insisted that I buy her some goat's milk so she could try it. She made a face . . . we used the rest in cooking.

Goat’s milk is naturally homogenized, and the protein is more assimilable than cow’s milk. Raw goat milk produced by someone who knows what they are doing is some of the best and healthiest milk you’ll ever have.

Over a couple of years I ended up with a few bottle babies..(I did love bottle babies) A gal in the area raised milk goats and I would buy her milk for my bottle babies...I found angora milk quite sweet, had to taste in when milking out a goat with problems...Like you said, different than cows milk....the meat is a lot like lamb (I have been told) I don’t like lamb but my goats made fantastic salami and sausage...thanks for the ping, hope I was of help in some small way.....
