Otters use a rock to crack open shelled creatures like abalone ... they usually place the rock on their tummy and bang the shell against the rock until they smash into the meat, then drop the rock and eat the meal. It is interesting to see the otter ‘selecting’ a stone while under water, usually after grabbing an abalone to take tot he surface.

Actually I don’t see the otter vid as a hoax; otters are known to grab things with their hands/paws and the game is the simple one of not letting an object hit the ground that even we have played at some point in our lives.
