It was in the 80’s when I first watched HBO. I don’t recall ever seeing Porky’s, have seen it talked about a lot.
I do believe I saw Beyond The Valley of the Dolls but can’t even remember it.
Don’t think the movies were X-rated on HBO at that time??

I saw Beyond the Valley of the Dolls on cinemax about 10 years ago. Today it would be considered R-rated, hell it would probably make it to free cable such as F/x. It's funny because Dolly Reed kept reverting to her English accent. She was definitely pretty. One of the earliest movies I saw when we got Cinemax in 1982 was "A Clockwork Orange".

See my post after yours. None of the movie channels would air X-Rated (before they became “Not Rated”) films, and even a lot of rental places (like “Blockbuster”) wouldn’t, either. Some X-Rated films would get edited down, or they’d appeal to the ratings board to get them changed, such as “Midnight Cowboy.”
