Jaycee,
That is just awesome about your little dishes. I have on display the old lunch box I took to school in the 40’s. I also have my real toy iron that plugged in, that sits along side that lunchbox. I cherish both!

Two years ago I found a few pieces of the place settings we had when growing up...Homer Laughlin, Marilyn. I bought enough on Ebay to use for special occasions.

Polly and JC, your stories reminded me of my Grandma's 'special' dinnerware.

She and Grandpa had a little farm in Iowa, and grew the best tomatoes and corn you ever tasted.

On special occasions, Grandma would serve dinner in her favorite dishes, Shawnee Corn Pottery.

I have collected it for years, and can still see the plates and bowls filled with her wonderful home cooking!
