They looked too great to some police and citizens. Some folks could not be convinced that it was just a hunk of inert plastic with a NATO-standard "inert" marking on it, just to play it safe.
They still sell it, but the page has a disclaimer that buyers might get hassled by the ignorant. There should be less of a problem with the 40mm salt and pepper shakers.
I'm tempted to cut out a cardboard silhouette of a couple of AK47s, spray them flat black, and then hang them from a rifle rack in the back of my Envoy. But knowing the Detroit area like I do, I'd probably be killed.
