Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Won’t be long now, or will it?
Think it’s going to freeze tonight, the temperature is down to 40 already. Jackson was ready to come in!
I put all the plants in the basement, am going to look for a homemade insecticidial soap to use before I bring them up. Maybe I can prevent all those dang ladybug wanna-to-bes from hatching this winter.
I tapped into my stock of bug-killers.
Didn’t have any frost at the house but saw some on the way to werk this morning.
Evidently we must be in a bit of a ~heat island~. The cannas still look great as do the impatiens. I’m still glad we turned the heat on yesterday, it’s much more pleasant in the morning!
He was underused in Hawaii-50, But ‘Book ‘em Danno’ still has a ring to it. His dad was the great playwright Charles MacArthur, co-author of ‘The Front Page’, and his mother was the immortal Helen Hayes. I first saw him in ‘The Light in the Forest’ as an American colonial boy kidnapped and brought up by Indians.
I’m planning on digging my artichokes today. I’ll probably dig up a few impatiens and bring them indoors to overwinter.
I got about 5 pounds of artichokes...pretty good considering that they weren’t in full sun and I didn’t do much watering, fertilizing etc. I also harvested some echinacea leaves just in case I get a cold this winter.
I got the furnace filter changed without kittehs getting in the crawlspace.
First time I recall him was in the “Third Man on the Mountain” and “Swiss Family Robinson” movies.
It is election day, folks, go out and knock ‘em dead! See you on the election reporting threads.
It is done.
I guess I can take my Yoder sign down now.
Good job taking down Carnahan.
And we passed that no transfer tax on real estate, and no more e-tax, and Skelton’s gone, hurray. That pesky Prop. B passed, another one of those ~notwhatitseemstobe~ laws that will create all kinds of havoc down the road. The HSUS used the same emotion-laded rhetoric that got Omaba elected (sigh).
We passed Amendment 1 84% to 16%.
Neener!
We bet the ‘no’ votes were all from Lawrence. :-)
Well the last time voters elected this many state legislatures, the youngest voters were born in 1907. That means that only folks 103 years old or older have previously accomplished this.
Wake up Sleepies!!!
...no...just a few more minutes...
So far no more casting announcements out of New Zealand, since two weeks ago. They’re supposed to be filming in less than three months, better get some more actors soon.
