Good idea! I’m baking cookies right now, but after that I could go get him a toy. Annie doesn’t like to play :(

Yep, that motivates me as well. it’s a bit more effecient than powder, patch, ball.
We had the office close at 2:00 today, there were’nt all that many of us left.
Hmm, Annie must have a sister out there. Attitude is pure Annie, whom, by the way is upstairs, Jackson is downstairs and ne’r the twain shall meet. (or so we hope).
That wind is getting a bit brisk, Gypsy didn’t care for it one bit.
I just pulled thecar into thegarage. Think I might make some hot spiced cider while I’m waiting for the globull warming to kick in.
Looks like a good Christmas gift!
Heh, global warming or a new ice age, can’t win for losing.
Extra wood in the basement so we guess we’re as ready for either. Jackson is upstairs in the mancave, sawing logs.
Freezing rain has turned to sleet..
Yup, shore is.
The sleet has turned to snow with nary a power flicker. It sure would suck to have Christmas with no power...Spam Christmas revisited.
OB brought some wood in this afternoon in case the power did go out. We don’t have any snow yet, and I’m glad the sleet has stopped rattling at the windows, brrrrr.
Dog, cats and people fed and cozy.
looks like my shelf over muh loadin’ bench...
speakin’ of powder, patch and ball, I took a doe at 180 yards with my NEF Sidekick muzzle loader... put a 295 gr powerbelt right thru its neck... dropped like a sack of hammers...
Evening G’nad -
That’s very good shootin’ with a front loader smoke pole. Are you sportin’ glass on yore firelock?
Have either of you checked out the cover of the new American Rifleman? Very interesting, to say the least.
Got an inch or so now...the few leaves left in the yard are not quite covered yet. It’s coming down at a good clip now.
Got a gas stove so I can at least make hot meals. I’d just go with the cat-and-blanket heating system if the power goes out.
Not just the cover. Besides the review of the Sig 516 (the price seems reasonable), there were first-time ads for gas-piston AR-15s from Barrett, Para USA, and Stag Arms (which makes left-handed models, too). Some of them may still be in the vaporware stage, like the Magpul, but it sure looks like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon.
I'm glad to see that Sig chose Troy Industries for its quad-rail forend for the 516. It makes me think the Troy rail system for the Sig 556 and P556 was a good choice, too.
Haven’t seen it yet...
I’ve got 3x9 on the smokewagon... I’ve got a TC White Mountain Carbine that I need to break out next year... get all traditional...
I hope I didn’t miss anyone.
Just wanted to wish you all the merriest of Christmases, the happiest of Hannukahs, or a festive airing of the grievances around the Festivus pole.
We’re not as chatty as we once were. But I treasure you all.
